In her works and interventions, Farzane Vaziritabar (*1987 in Yazd, Iran, based in Karlsruhe, Germany) addresses the situation of women in Iran and thus also comments on current political conflicts: "It was women who, with the headscarf as a symbol, started one of the strongest protest movements against the regime in Iran for many years." Vaziritabar's work tells the story of the obligation to cover the female head in a focused and visually powerful way, while also involving the audience.
